Hello everyone. My name is Chazz P. Let me start out by stating that I am neither Republican or Democrat. I form opinions based on my own feelings on issues and not based on which sect I belong to.
My first opinion is on the Constitution. This one seems to divide everyone. Mainly I want to talk about the first and second amendments.
What i seem to get from people I have spoken with and many news organization is this.
When it comes to the right to bear arms, the Republicans want to defend it and keep it from being taken off the books. However, they seem bent on doing away with the first amendment which states that there should be a separation of church and state. We are a country of many religions and by pushing school prayer, adding "under god" in our Pledge of Allegiance, and getting nasty when a store policy tells its employees to say "Happy Holiday" rather than "Merry Christmas" , we are sending the wrong message.
Unlike our enemies, we are a country of Freedom. We are at war with people who want to force one religion on everyone. Unlike them, we have the right to bear arms, and we have the right to practice our own religions. Lets not let this divide us.
